I’m a 30-something curvy in-betweenie who loves fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. I share my day-to-day life as a woman, businesswoman, wife, and of course, my eternal love for comfortable fashion and fuss-free beauty. Well, I am just a girl who is all for comfort and zip-zap quick beauty fixes cuz ain’t nobody got time for that crazy mumbo-jumbo!

As I run my own business and usually get some time off in the day to take OOTDs, do product reviews and occasionally share healthy recipes, I decided to transform my passion for fashion, beauty, and food into weekly blogging as my creative outlet. Plus,  this blog will not only inspire my fellow curvy beauties to embrace and flaunt dem curves in stylish epiphanies, it is also to further encourage me to achieve my life goal: to start my own fashion business!

CURVY Because I identify with the definition of curvy – “having a well-proportioned feminine figure.” Also known as being shapely, statuesque, and well-endowed.  Mind you, I  was not always “la-di-da” with my body. I went through phases of self-hate, self-blame, and shame just like many other girls/women out there. It was only when I grew older and wiser (and with the help of curvy queens like Ashley Graham) that I schooled myself about body positivity and self-love. Also, with the tender love and care my husband has given me (who adores every part of my body), I am who I have become!

KAUR – I am proudly Sikh (religion) and Punjabi (native). In modern-day Punjabi, Kaur means “princess” and is the name widely used as the second name by female Sikhs. This custom was first introduced in 1699 by Guru Gobind Singh to both males and female Sikhs. All female Sikhs were asked to use the name Kaur (princess) after their forenames and males were to use the name Singh (lion). This custom further confirmed the equality of both genders as was the tradition set by the founder of Sikhism, Guru Nanak. I hope this explains the other half of my blog name!

I started this blog mainly due to all the wonderful compliments and encouragement I received over the years. Many a time, I have been stopped by total strangers to ask me random questions like where I purchase my outfits from. Some even complimented me on how I dress my size confidently!

On the other side of the spectrum, I wear a size 12 – 14 and according to the Asian classic standards, this size has a label and it is called FAT. So, I did hear my fair share of “why are you not losing weight?”, “you should start exercising or you will die young”, and the classic “Don’t wear that, it makes your hips look wider”. Now, as a woman who has been diagnosed with a double combo of PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) and Hypothyroidism, I used to beat myself up for my exterior. However, those days are long gone as I refuse to allow myself to be bothered by all the nasty and illiterate comments I receive anymore!

So here I am, dressed in an imaginary XL-sized superwoman costume and a cape, all ready to do my part to show the world that we are ALL beautiful, no matter what. In other words, I am here to show you that:
